Production Information Meeting
from November 6, 2008
Rehearsals
Monday’s 6:00 to 9:00, Thursday’s 6:00 to 9:00, and Sunday’s 1:00 to 5:00. Rehearsals begin in January and will be held at Sheckler until after Easter when we move to the High School. Cast members are required to attend all rehearsals that they are scheduled for. Missing a rehearsal for illness must be reported before the start of the rehearsal. Rehearsal conflicts must be discussed with the director ASAP. Rehearsal schedule and procedure. Cast members are required to review dialogue, music, and dance steps between rehearsals. A practice CD will be provided.
Requirements
- $30.00 per family refundable Participation Fee
- Committee work
- 2 or more personal or business program ads
- 20 hours of behind the scenes production work
(Saturday workdays, extra Parent Supervision, extra food for workdays, extra poster distribution, obtaining extra business ads for the program, costume or prop work at home, stage crew, or work on the Cook Book)
- All cast and crewmembers must sign our insurance waver.
- All student cast members are asked to sign a photo release form.
- All adult cast members, High School cast members, and parents or guardians of student cast members are required to help with tear down.
- All parents or guardians of student cast members who are not in the show themselves will be required to do some student supervision for dress rehearsals and shows.
Work Days
Workdays will be held on Saturday’s starting January 10th and ending April 4th. We will work from 8:30 to 4:00. Workdays are open to adult cast members, high school cast members, and adult volunteers. No younger children are permitted at workdays due to safety and insurance reasons. The exception would be for costume fitting.
Move to the High School
All adult cast members and High School cast members are expected to assist with the teardown of the High School show and the move in of our show between April 5th and April 11th.
Weather
If bad weather forces us to cancel a rehearsal you can check the Box Office message, your email, the website, or call the director.
Auditions
Sunday November 16th from 6 to 9 or Monday November 17th from 6 to 9 in Sheckler’s Music room.
No audition is necessary for individuals interested in the general chorus, who have performed in our productions in the past 2 years.
Audition music for specific role auditions is available this evening.
Audition dialogue will be given out at auditions and will be used at call backs
Callbacks will be held on Sunday November 23rd from 6 to 9. Individuals needed for call backs will be informed at auditions.
Costuming
Cast members will be required to assist in locating some costume items. Cast members are expected to take care of all personal costume items.
Music Man T-shirts
We will be placing our final order for Music Man T-shirts. Adult sizes only small to XXXL. $5 for short sleeve shirts and $7 for long sleeve shirts. Place your order before leaving this evening.
